These Uniqlo men's/airisms women's have been the only thing I've worn for the past five years, but I noticed with this most recent batch I bought eight pairs that they've changed the thread that wraps the band the waistband on the inside to a harder, more brittle nylon thread.
I suppose they're trying to find a less expensive way, but I'm not going to buy them again because of that nylon thread.
Fit
The Ex Officio's lack of a size small is one of its biggest drawbacks. Although it is described as little, it is nonsense. It is substantially larger than the Uniqlo in two sizes, yet it is still too loose.
Another objectively right quality of the Uniqlo that the Ex Officio lacks is masculine accommodation.
Take note of the folded seam that runs vertically along the front panel's centre: Because anything needs some breathing room and is hidden behind that curtain.
With the pain of skin-on-skin issues and the need to continually reposition eliminated, this produces a tailored cloth pouch that, um, suitably surrounds this region.
Contrarily, the front panel of the Ex Officio is completely flat. Although it can be stretched in any direction to naturally create something with a formed front panel, this cannot compare to anything that already has a front panel that is appropriately shaped.
Fit is certainly somewhat arbitrary, but these particular differences are just demonstrably better. The Uniqlo will be far more likely to fit more individuals because of the folding front panel and availability in additional sizes. That said, it appears to be suited for smaller males, so have that in mind.
It's also important to note that the Uniqlo has a broader waistband (by diameter) and shorter legs than an Ex Officios of the same size.
These distinctions don't seem to me to be inherently good or bad, but they are nevertheless important to note. It would be wonderful if the Airism's legs were just a hair longer because many people will appreciate the longer fit.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Fantastic value for the price.
- Very breathable
- Smaller than cotton boxer briefs when compressed.
Cons
- Sometimes the legs are a touch too short.
- It could take some getting used to the fabric if you're not used to synthetics.
- Because of the shorter inseam, sizes appear to run a touch small.

Is Uniqlo the best cooling underwear?
It seems simple enough to dress for the humid, sultry summer days: after all, less is more, right? Wrong. The clothing in Uniqlo's AIRism line is constructed of moisture-wicking fabric, which is meant to drain perspiration away from your skin while keeping you dry and appearing like you just left a wonderfully air-conditioned space.
It's an additional layer that does the exact opposite of what the term "extra layer" suggests. To lessen the sense and appearance of perspiration, wear smooth, seamless items below your clothing (there are camisoles with built-in bras, underwear, and more).
To see how an additional AIRism layer is essential for a polished summer date style, see the video up above. Shop the below look after that.
Is Uniqlo Underwear Comfortable for Women
Yes, according to my dermatologist, the finest underwear for hot weather is made of excellent material and has a great fit. This pair of underwear is really comfortable because of the airism and seamless technology.
They are amazing and really soft, thick, and supportive. Nice; really cosy; incredibly smooth; feels like a hug; runs smaller than their hiphugger
These comfy briefs are unnoticeable beneath pants, these features will make their female customers as comfortable as the male.

True to size in terms of fit. All I have to say is amazing after purchasing these briefs! They've been with me for more than a year, and they still fit well. Unbelievably soft fabric, elastic that fits perfectly in all the right places and doesn't crumple or look like bacon at the waist.
The fit, feel, and fabric of these briefs are by far the finest! I've had more costly brands, but Uniqlo's briefs are superior to all of them. won't ever purchase a different brand. I appreciate Uniqlo providing long-lasting, high-quality products.

I've had enough of them to know that they don't fit well. These adhere to every awful trend in men's underwear, particularly the cut leg and the "pouch." Male anatomy is not in a static position all day to fit comfortably in a "pouch," as the designers are ignorant of. The "pouch" is promotional material with no real-world application.
The pouch's seam is either directly across or ABOVE my son 50% of the time. Get a hint, Uniqlo: They'd be great underwear if you just got rid of the pouch and really added a leg. Make at least a minimalist version for clever individuals who desire comfortable underwear, and then create another version with several pouches and seams.

I first like the briefs. They are really soft and fit well. They are particularly prone to tears, which is an issue. I've been purchasing them for almost 4 years, and after a few months, every single one has developed a crotch tear. No other underwear has torn as easily—I'm 5'10" and weigh 150 pounds.

Unfortunately, Uniqlo's quality has drastically decreased. My husband recently purchased new underwear in a size Medium, claiming that they feel the same as the size Small he wore for four years.
Additionally, he had six pairs of shoes that he had for four years, yet only two of them developed holes in them after two wears... Due to shop regulations, I had to throw away two freshly purchased pairs and I didn't get even a partial refund.
Conclusion
Briefs or boxers? It's a perennial question that has sparked intense discussion amongst men for ages; the oldest evidence of these discussions can be found in a collection of hieroglyphics from ancient Egypt, which date to about 2900 BC.
The fact that you are no longer forced to pick between those two binary possibilities, despite much of that being untrue, is nevertheless true.
The boxer brief combines the comfort of boxers with the support of a brief for the best of both worlds. There are many options, but the Uniqlo Airism Boxer Brief drew our attention.
Uniqlo underwear is another brand of briefs that does its best to draw in customers who really want to wear them. They are comfortable and most suitable for hot weather.
