While the use of cannabis has been a somewhat controversial topic, there is no doubt that it has many health benefits. Research has shown that it can help relieve various symptoms, and while it cannot entirely treat anything, further studies are being conducted to fully understand its capabilities.

In this article, we are going to discuss six different medical conditions where cannabis may be helpful. Interested? Then keep on reading!

    Cancer

While there is no direct evidence that cannabis can cure cancer, it has been used to treat some of the side effects of chemotherapy. This includes reducing vomiting and nausea, which can help improve food intake. Alongside this, many individuals have claimed that it has also helped aid pain related to their condition. As mentioned above, further studies are still being conducted, but it will be interesting to see what further assistance it can provide.

    Arthritis

Since cannabinoids are very powerful anti-inflammatory agents, those that suffer from arthritis report that it has been a very useful pain management tool. Topicals and oils can be applied to the skin, making the process even more convenient. If you’re interested, check out weed delivery from Dyrect. Crohn’s Disease

Crohn’s disease is related to IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) and affects an individual long-term. It causes inflammation, and in many cases, can lead to a variety of other symptoms such as appetite loss, fatigue, and weight loss. As mentioned above, cannabinoids are anti-inflammatory, which means it could assist those with this condition.

    Epilepsy

Many people have claimed that consuming cannabis can stop seizures; however, there is currently little evidence to support this. While a study by Epilepsia revealed that CBD was effective in mice, the results were mixed overall. Alongside this, more research has gone into understanding THC and CBD’s pain reduction properties rather than its impact on the brains signaling systems.

    Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s a form of dementia, which impacts one’s memory, language, and thinking abilities. This results in Alzheimer’s patients experiencing certain behavior changes, such as mood swings, social withdrawal, and compulsiveness. Some trials have shown that cannabis can help with these changes, but like most things on this list, there is still not enough evidence to show that it can be used as a treatment method.

    Mental Health Conditions

Anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder are all different health mental conditions that affect millions of people everyday. It can be devastating and troublesome to deal with these conditions on a daily basis. That's why using cannabis for anxiety is growing in popularity today. Since cannabis does have the ability to release endorphins, researchers believe it can assist with some of the symptoms of these conditions. However, with that being said, specific doses may also worsen conditions in the long term effects are still unknown.

    Final Thoughts:

When reading through the above, we know that cannabis can help manage a variety of symptoms. However, time will only tell whether or not it will be able to be used more regularly in medicine. What do you think? Will cannabis soon be able to cure a variety of different health conditions?
