Women's health is very important. Most women are not even aware that they need to keep their pubic areas in check. They can cause many discomforts, and most women do not even understand what is going on with them. Lack of education and awareness about it is the root cause of women suffering from diseases that can otherwise be curable.

Although located inside the body, the vagina is an organ, is often susceptible to the outside elements that can cause diseases and pain to a woman. The most common one is vaginal dryness. Normally the walls of a vagina are always damp with a thin layer of fluid. Estrogen plays a vital role in maintaining lubrication levels, which keeps the vagina healthy, thick, and elastic.

However, there are certain times when women complain that they are feeling very dry down there. The most common reason for such a problem is that there is a lack of fluid being generated. That is caused by lower levels of estrogen in the body. Estrogen levels can rise or drop at any age, and for any reason, it is a hormone that is sensitive to many factors.

Vaginal dryness can be a small thing, but it can negatively affect your sex life. However, do not fret; certain treatments can work wonders for you to eliminate these problems.

But let's first look at the causes of vaginal dryness.

    Causes of Vaginal dryness

Many women who experience vaginal dryness are often the ones who are going through menopause. One out of three women deals with such an issue around the world. It makes the vagina dry, thinner, and less elastic. It can make sexual intercourse painful.

Estrogen levels can drop because of many factors; a few of those a listed below:

    • Childbirth
    • Breastfeeding
    • Chemotherapy
    • Surgical removal of ovaries
    • Antidepressants
    • Allergy medications

No matter whatever the cause is, vaginal dryness can cause a severe burning sensation along with some itching.

    Treatments

There are a few treatments that can fix the dryness issues in the vagina.

    Vaginal Dryness

    Ring

Your doctor can administer a ring into your vagina where it releases estrogen directly to its tissues, which is replaced every three months.

    Tablets

You are made to use a disposable applicator to insert the tablet into your vagina once a day for the first week.

    Cream

The doctor recommends certain creams to apply through an applicator into your vagina. You will apply the cream daily for 1 or 2 weeks and cut back as you start feeling better.

    Vaginal moisturizer

There are specific vaginal moisturizers like glycerin-min oil-polycarbophil that are available at your drug store. These moisturizers work like magic and will help you have a better sex life.

    Conclusion

Vazoplex specializes in giving women the best advice to keep themselves healthy and fit. A vagina needs your constant attention should you neglect it; bacteria will have adverse effects on your health. Follow the above points if you experience vaginal dryness. If you have any itchiness or pain, albeit mild, we recommend that you visit your doctor as soon as you can. If you want to know more, contact us on our website.
