It’s Christmas season, but let’s face it; the cold can be harsh on the skin. This dry weather takes away all the natural moisture in your skin making it dull and tired. What can you do?

To achieve a healthy-looking red-carpet-ready face, you need to start preparing your skin at least two weeks before.

Five simple skincare tips for looking glamorous on Christmas

Here are the best five skincare tips that can help you achieve flawless skin on Christmas Eve.

    1. Keep yourself hydrated

The key to a glowing and juicy looking plump skin during winter is hydration. Dehydrated skin is prone to wrinkles and ageing.

It is advised to drink plenty of water, at least eight to ten glasses per day. But there are some other things you can do to make your water interesting.

    • Before you start your day with coffee, drink a glass of warm water mixed with lemon and honey. This natural drink will cleanse your gastrointestinal tract and give your body a boost of vitamin
    • You can also create detox water. Add a handful of mint leaves and some sliced lemons in one litre of water. You can also add strawberries, sliced apples, and a pinch of cinnamon to add flavour.
    1. Moisturize, moisturize, & moisturize

Moisturization keeps your skin healthy from the inside out. Moisture loss is common in dry and cold weather and drinking ample water is not enough. You need to add a good daily face moisturizer in your skincare regimen.

You can buy a Custom Facial Cream and apply it every time you cleanse and wash your face. Studies suggest that lack of moisture in the skin is the basic cause behind multiple skin problems such as extreme dryness or extreme oiliness. Both situations are not ideal and can trigger other skin issues like open pores or acne.

So this means that you can get soft and supple skin but can also get rid of many skin problems.

    1. Use DIY home masks

To add instant radiance and glow to your face in a week, no need to rush to salons and spend so many dollars. Make some do-it-yourself home masks for the winter season and get clear skin within fifteen minutes.

Take one tablespoon of honey and mix it with a few drops of lemon, a pinch of turmeric, and rosewater. Apply this mixture to your face for ten to fifteen minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.

The DIY banana botox mask by Huda Beauty is also trending among the beauty bloggers. You just need a half banana, one tablespoon yoghurt, and honey to make this mask. Use the same procedure for application.

    1. Use face oils according to your skin type

Oil-based face serums were quite popular in 2020. In fact, many beauty bloggers were seen promoting face oil brands. They can reduce signs of ageing, calm down rashes, and protect your skin. But the thing is that all face oils might not work for you.

Why? Because different skin types have different requirements and it is not safe to use certain face oils. A Custom Face Oil can bring the right result for you because it is made according to the skin type.

If you have oily and acne-prone skin then tea tree oil will work best for you, but if you have dry or sensitive skin then aloe vera or coconut oil is the safest option for you to try.

    1. Treat your lips with extra care

Your lips have the most delicate skin and they demand extra care in this dry and flaky weather. No matter how expensive lipstick you buy from your beauty brand, it won’t look good on chapped lips.

Invest some money in a good lip balm brand because they can keep lips soft and hydrated. For a smooth lipstick application on Christmas night party, make sure to apply lip balm generously on your lips.

    The final verdict

Make sure that you follow this festive season skincare checklist and become the best version of yourself on party nights. With this beauty care regimen, all beauties can look glamorous and beautiful this festive season!
