    Eczema scars are unfortunately as stressful as the flareups itself. The active eczema can be worrisome especially when it spreads to the face, showing off red flaky painful skin. People believe lemon as a beauty miracle that packs a pool of healthy benefits and is one of the stellar ways to beat eczema. But is that so? Is it a myth or really a reality? Read on to find out.

    Drinking warm lemon water in morning has its own benefits. The high Ph induced in the body causes an anti-inflammatory effect that may help prevent flare ups and give you a boost of zing in the morning. All you need to do is replace your morning tea with a glass of lemon water.

    Lemon juice is known to keep skin hydrated and plump as it emulsifies fats. Lemons are a powerhouse of vitamin C and this is why most of the dermatolgists rely on it for helping with wrinkles, fine lines, and tanning.

    Either washing the face with lemon water or using lemon directly on face, it leaves a bleaching effect and can help lighten red and brown marks of eczema. Where high acid works to lighten the scars, high level of vitamin C helps in regeneration of new cells.

    To get rid of it, apply cotton ball soaked in lemon juice twice everyday and let it stay 10 to 15 minutes only before washing it off. Repeat it for at least 4 weeks or till results are visisble. Results can largely vary from person to person. As an alternative you can mix lemon juice and soda bicarbonate or sugar in a ratio of 1:1 and use it at bedtime few days a week to exfoliate the skin.

To stay consistent with it, try attaching sensors to the body during the session to keep a track of how stress affects body by observing heart rate, brain waves, and muscle tone.

    Wet Wraps: If you have failed to get hold of your eczema with any other treatment, there is nothing to worry about as you can now lock moisture and help get inflammation better. A warm bath followed by moisture and a layer of wet clothes can leave skin plump and healthy. Don’t forget to lastly cover it with a dry layer and consult a doctor before going for this option.
