Cadbury Creme Eggs are a traditional Easter treat. Many children looked forward to breaking apart the milk chocolate shell and delving into the delicious, white, and orange goop within. To truly experience that classic Cadbury moment, a cupcake would be a wonderful and special addition.

If you look up Cadbury Cupcakes, you'll see that many of the recipes ask for putting a whole Cadbury egg inside a cupcake, yet the eggs are too huge to fit inside an entire cupcake! So, why not try some homemade Cadbury filling knockoff recipes? On the exterior, these cupcakes appear unassuming.

The Recipe for Delicious Cadbury Creme Cupcakes

For these cupcakes, you may absolutely use your favorite cake mix or another cake recipe. Keep in mind that while making any type of filled cupcake, a sturdier cupcake is preferable.

You may have tried a few cupcake recipes and discovered that, while they were moist and tasty, they didn't stand up to the rich, creamy filling. When you bite into an extremely light and fluffy cupcake, it will most likely break apart a little.

This cupcake recipe is rich and delicious. I think this is the most rich and lovely cake batter I've ever prepared. There's just the right amount of chocolate without being overpowering. They're not too sweet, which helps to balance out the filling.

    Putting Everything Together

It's incredibly simple to make filled cupcakes! You can use a cupcake corer to simply make a cavity into the center of the cupcake for all that yummy filling. You may also use a little paring knife, but be careful not to remove too much. A cupcake corer includes a stopper, so you can't go too far.

    The Instructions

    • Freeze the mini eggs for at least 1 hour before baking.
    • In a bowl, add the sugar and eggs, and use a hand mixer to beat them together well until you get a runny mixture that has a pale yellow color.
    • Add the milk and butter to a pan set over a low to medium heat, and heat it up until the butter is melted - the milk does not need to boil, it is removed from the pan as soon as the butter is melted.
    • Pour the milk mixture over the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
    • Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder together with the vanilla extract.

how to make cadbury creme cupcakes - Healthsoothe

    • Mix well to get a rather thin batter that seems pretty runny - do not add any more flour, as it is not necessary and it will change the consistency of the sponges.
    • Line a muffin/cupcake tin with paper cases, and add one tablespoon of the batter to each of them.
    • Add one mini egg to each cupcake, then top it with another tablespoon of batter.
    • Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes or until firm to touch.
    • Leave the cupcakes to cool down completely.
Step-By-Step Instructions To Make The Buttercream

how to make the buytercream for cadbury creme cupcakes - Healthsoothe

    • If you use a food processor or blender, nothing simpler - add all the ingredients and blitz until smooth - it's ready in a couple of minutes.
    • If you use a hand mixer, beat the butter and icing sugar together until smooth, then add the milk, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract, and beat again.

How to Make Homemade Cadbury Creme Filling

The creme egg recipe to make these Cadbury creme cupcakes is really simple and requires only a few simple ingredients. The mixture will be quite soft when every one of the ingredients has been incorporated.

It's better to put the filling in the freezer for approximately an hour. You can effortlessly scoop it out and manage it to fill the cupcakes from there. If it becomes sticky while you're working with it, place it back in the refrigerator for a few minutes

Scoop out about 1/4 teaspoon of white filling, sandwich a quarter teaspoon of yellow filling in between, then topped it with another scoop of white. You can add more if desired, but I felt this to be a good quantity.

Since the mixture is cool, you can easily form the filling into a little egg shape with your hands. The mixture will settle inside the cupcake when it heats to room temperature.

    Recipe Notes and Expert Tips

    • Make sure you use the mini Cadbury creme eggs, rather than the standard size, as those are too big to fit inside the muffin tray cups.
    • It is recommended that the creme eggs be covered completely with batter before placing them in the oven. Otherwise, the chocolate eggs will not keep their shape and will melt while baking. That would be such a disaster!
    • Another thing you must be warned about is that you really have to freeze the creme eggs well before using them. Again, that will prevent them from melting in the oven. Once the cupcakes are baked, the eggs will have the right shape and consistency.
    • The creme filling recipe yields a lot of filling; I didn't want to reduce it too much since it allows you to stuff the cupcakes to your liking.
    • In order to produce a copycat version of the candy, you can utilize the leftover filling to make genuine eggs and dip them in chocolate. It would look wonderful on top of these cupcakes!

A Recipe Worth Sharing: Whipping Up Delicious Cadbury Creme Cupcakes

Creme Eggs have become an unmistakable Easter treat that is heavenly and delicious on their own, but also fantastic in any bake. From cupcakes to Easter brownies, or Easter chocolate cake, these chocolate eggs can be put to so many yummy uses.

Childish as it may sound, cutting the cupcakes in half to reveal the hidden creme eggs is so exciting. It's like opening a Kinder surprise egg, you can't wait to see what's inside.

Cupcakes are a quick and easy treat no matter the celebration. They are a favorite with kids, but also grown-ups and the sky's the limit when it comes to flavors we can choose from.

Cadbury Creme Cupcakes are an excellent Easter dessert option! The rich, velvety chocolate cake and handmade Cadbury Creme filling is both simple to prepare and delicious. The filling is less sugary and tastes much better when cooked at home. A fun and interesting Easter baking treat to prepare!

You may finish off this Easter treat with a simple chocolate ganache. Because the filling is essentially a frosting, adding extra icing isn't a good idea. Furthermore, it resembles the chocolate eggshell for the candy eggs.

This is the most creative Easter cupcake concept. I guarantee that everyone will adore them. I hope you like these Cadbury Creme Cupcakes!
