Periodontal abscess ( also called gum boil) is a disease that occurs in the mouth characterized by an accumulation of pus within the tissues of the gum. It is a type of dental abscess.

The periodontal abscess can be easily prevented by doing basic things:

    5. If there is a change in your mouth consult your physician or dentist as soon as possible.
The dietary and nutritional intake of refined carbohydrate. If need be to take refined carbohydrate, such food should be taken at mealtimes, not a night or midnight, and never take in a sticky form. Thus, rinse your mouth with water.

    • Antibiotic drugs and analgesics may be prescribed.
    • Elimination of the pocket to remove the cause of the abscess is very important.
