Every year, a wave of new restaurants open up in New York City, but it’s hard to keep up with the wave of new venues. According to Open Table 1https://vinepair.com/booze-news/new-york-restaurants-eat-at-every-on/, you can eat at a different restaurant in NYC every day for 22.7 years straight and you’ll never visit the same spot twice. If you walk down a few random blocks, you’ll be sure to stumble across a diverse range of appealing restaurants. NYC is a foodie dream come true with a number of appealing selections and culinary cultures. Still, it’s challenging to know what’s out there and what new spot is worth your time. Don’t worry because we’ve done the research and have highlighted six new restaurants NYC is raving about below.

    Foul Witch

In the heart of East Village, you’ll find the Foul Witch. Owned by the pizza maven Roberta’s, Foul Witch is an Italian wine bar and restaurant that needs to be written onto your foodie bucket list. The Foul Witch existed for a short time in 2018 as a pop-up restaurant as part of the Frieze Art Fair. This restaurant features terracotta tiling along with elegant taper candles and Murano glass elements. The Foul Witch has a small menu, but offers robust choices including braised goat garganelli, roast lamb with mint jelly, and rare wines.

    Bounce

This isn’t a new restaurant, but it’s good to have a place that can fulfill your New York bag storage needs. Whether you’re out shopping and want to eat or if you just touched down in the Big Apple, it’s nice to be able to store your stuff somewhere safely. All you have to do is reserve your space online, drop off your New York bag storage items, and travel straight to a new restaurant. This is the perfect solution for New York bag storage and gives you ample time to enjoy your meal without luggage weighing you down.

    11 Tigers

Located on the second floor of building 225 on Avenue B, 11 Tigers is the perfect dining experience if you crave something truly different. According to their official website, 11 Tigers is “New York City’s first-ever speakeasy with a Thai heart and a Japanese soul.” They offer a wide selection of culinary tastes whether it’s the Tom Yum Ramen or the Crying Tiger Gyoza. They also have a diverse selection of cocktails including yadong mixes, which is a traditional Thai liqueur that has roots as a health tonic. The most popular one is the 11 tiger yadong, which is where the restaurant gets its namesake from.

    The Polar Lounge

Located outside of Harriet’s Rooftop, you’ll discover the Polar Lounge. You’ll be able to enjoy skyline views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan while enjoying cocktails in crystal-clear ice glasses with some caviar. The tables, seats, and sculptures are crafted entirely from ice. Don’t worry about getting too cold because the luxury outerwear brand Moose Knuckles provide parkas for VIP visitors to wear during the experience. Plus, a percentage of the sales will go to Oceanic Global, which is a charity that educates communities on how to become more sustainable and protect the oceans.

    Shmackwich

Located in Chelsea’s popular Olly Olly Market, Shmackwich offers a wide range of bodega classics via an elevated menu. This restaurant started out as a pop-up and collaborated with Soundcloud as well as Supreme. You can order NYC classics such as hot whiskey wings or the wetty waffle chicken sandwich or the fan-favorite waygu chopped cheese. They have plenty of sandwiches, shmack chips, and even some vegetarian options. If you’re looking for a taste of authentic yet affordable NYC cuisine, this is your best bet.

    Slutty Vegan

Located in Brooklyn, the popular Atlanta restaurant the Slutty Vegan opened up last year to a massive line and sold out of everything. According to the restaurant CEO Pinky Cole, she created the restaurant to “open the conversation on vegan food options for people who have never considered them.” The fun menu offers slutty burgers made from Beyond meat or Impossible Meat and slutty fries covered in slut dust. Plus, each food item has a provocative name such as the One Night Stand, the Menage a Trois, and the Hollywood Hooker. This is a cool yet healthy alternative to usual fast food options.

    Conclusion

Living in NYC can be a dream come true for food connoisseurs and people who frequent restaurants on a regular basis, but staying in the know when it comes to new restaurant openings can be difficult. Thankfully, we chose some of the best restaurants that just opened for you in NYC. The Foul Witch is great if you love Italian food while Bounce can fulfill all of your New York bag storage needs. The Polar Lounge is a cool experience while 11 Tigers provides something more exotic. Shmackwich provides you with a true New York experience while Slutty Vegan is the healthiest option on this list. Try out any of these six new restaurants in NYC above and you’ll be sure to experience a culinary delight that you’ll be sure to remember.
