Australia has long been regarded as one of the world's top beach resorts. With an almost 26,000 km long coastline, there are several activities for beach and water enthusiasts.

While Australia and Tasmania are home to some of the most stunning forests, mountains, and hiking trails, the beaches are just one side of the coin.

Some of Australia's most stunning landscapes, some of which are off the beaten path, are traversed by these routes.

Central and Northern Territory of Australia

    Larapinta Trail, Northern Territory

The Larapinta Trail is a long walking trail in Australia's Northern Territory. Its overall length is 223 kilometres (139 miles) from east to west, with the eastern end in Alice Springs and the western end at Mount Sonder, one of the highest mountains in the territory.

The West MacDonnell National Park follows the West MacDonnell Ranges, sometimes along the ridge line, sometimes on the plain below.

One of the west McDonnel Ranges may be seen in Australia along the Larapinta Trail. The full walk is 223 kilometres long and takes a fortnight to complete.

The fact that this path is tough for the faint of heart is among the most crucial considerations. Planning, preparation, and past expertise are required.

It is advised to trek from April to September when the weather is cooler.

    Fraser Island Great Walk, Queensland

The K'gari (Fraser Island) Great Walk is a long-distance walking trail on Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia.

Hikers should be completely self-sufficient and bring plenty of water. The walk is classified as easy to moderate on a difficulty scale since it is primarily at sea level[1] and only goes one way.

It connects Dilli Village, a University of the Sunshine Coast environmental education camp, to Happy Valley.

The whole 90-kilometre trek, which includes several short side trips off the main track, may be accomplished in 6 to 8 days. The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) operates eight walkers' campgrounds, all of which need reservations.

One of Australia's most beautiful and enjoyable walks is the Fraser Island Great Walk in Queensland. There is so much to learn about the environment and people there. It is an 84-kilometre somewhat simpler journey that can be completed in 5 to 7 days with camping stops along the way.

    Thorsborne Trail, Queensland

In Queensland, the Thorsborne Track is a popular long-distance bushwalking trail. It is 32 kilometres (20 miles) long and extends along the east shore of Hinchinbrook Island National Park.

It has been called "iconic" by Australian Geographic and one of Australia's top multi-day hiking paths by The Guardian. Private ferry services to/from Ramsay Bay (from Cardwell) or George Point (from Lucinda) provide access to the track; the timetable changes according to tides.

One of Australia's most stunning and challenging hikes is the Thorsborne Trail in Queensland. The trek brings hikers to some of the secret locations and hidden gems. The hike's moderate difficulty may be completed in 3 to 5 days.

    Western Australia

Cape to Cape Track, Western Australia

One of the greatest ways to appreciate the area's natural splendour is by travelling the Cape to Cape route in Western Australia. You can do this reasonably simple hiking route in around 6 days. It is one of Australia's most distinctive hiking experiences.

    Southern Australia

    Australian Alps Walking Track, Victoria/NSW/ACT

The Australian Alps Walking Track is depicted on a map.
The Australian Alps Walking Track is a long-distance walking trail that winds through the alpine regions of Victoria, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory.

It is 655 kilometres long, beginning in Walhalla, Victoria, and ending in Tharwa, ACT, near Canberra.

The track passes through several Australian national parks, including Alpine National Park and Kosciuszko National Park, but it is not limited to national parks.

One of the greatest and most difficult walks in Australia is this one. With this trek, you may traverse the huge Australian Alps in all their splendour. Depending on the hiker's pace, it takes 45 to 60 days to complete the 655 kilometres of this path. This path may be difficult at times and is not recommended for novices.

Wilderness Coast Walk, Victoria To NSW

One of the most amazing and top walks in Australia is the Wilderness Coast Walk from Victoria to NSW. One of the walks that expert hikers prefer, it passes through some of Australia's most breathtaking landscapes. It is one of the most priceless experiences and takes roughly 5 days to finish.

    Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk, Victoria

One of Australia's most unusual walks is the Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk in Victoria. Native vegetation and exotic creatures are encountered along the way. The hiker will pass through some uncharted territory and get quite near to the sea. As it traverses this varied terrain, the walk includes both hot and cold temperatures.

Travel west with a small group of no more than ten people through wetlands, wild beaches, rocky headlands, and deep forested valleys.

A knowledgeable eco-guide walks alongside you at every step, sharing information about flora, shipwrecks, and the rock shelf where dinosaurs roamed a primordial coastline.

    Tasmania

Bay of Fires Lodge Walk, Tasmania

The Lodge at Bay of Fires Tasmania's northeastern tip and the 1perimeter of Mount Williams National Park are good places to go for a stroll. The trek passes through some of Australia's unspoiled scenery, undiscovered beaches, and crystal-clear waterways. The trek is best done between October and May, when you may explore the hidden caverns and undiscovered beaches.

    The Maria Island Walk, Tasmania

This is another2stunning climb in Tasmania's eastern region. We pass through some unusual beaches, unexplored nature, and animals on our trip across the Maria Island National Park. In Tasmania, you must do this peaceful climb.

    Freycinet Experience Walk, Tasmania
