    Anxiety is part of our day to day activities. In a situation like this what best herbs for anxiety, that's the question you should ask yourself. I never really considered myself an anxious person until when I start dreaming of becoming a better person (buying a car, building a house and handling a multi-millionaire business).

    Like planning a wedding or having a baby can turn even the calmest, collected people into an anxious, taking a risk in life is a blubbering mess. After sometime when I can't sleep I begin to think, stressing myself over nothing and having fever dreams about losing bids, I decided I needed a plan in tackling the situation.

    Working out, low calories and cutting down sugar intake and avoiding junk food helped a lot, but then I find out from a colleague who has used chamomile tea to calm his nerves and relief from anxiety.

    It turns out that there are certain herbs for anxiety that have been used for centuries to relieve tension, calm the mind and help soothe tension. And unlike lifestyle changes which might help stave off anxiety, herbs are great for when you're used to it. Simply use them as a tea, diffuse their essential oils or take them in capsule form to reap the benefits.

    5 Best Natural Naturally Anxiety - Best Herbs for Anxiety

    1. Chamomile

    Research has proven that Chamomile has been used as both a dietary supplement and medicinal herb for so many years. It’s effective for improving general relaxation and well-being, in addition to treating acute issues like anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Because it promotes sleep, and you can consume it as tea before going to bed at night. It helps me feel calm and fall asleep quickly.

    2. Lavender

    According to medical research, I found out that Lavender is one of the best herbs for anxiety most well-studied herbs for treating fear. It helps calm the nerves down and restore the whole nervous system while preventing restlessness, irritability, panic attacks, and tension, especially when dried or in oil form.

    METHOD:

    If you know someone or you have suffered from insomnia before, place a pouch of dried lavender blossoms under your pillow at night. Or for general anxiety, diffuse the essential oil throughout your home during the day.

    3. Lemon balm

    Lemon balm is a calming herb that belongs to the mint family. It has been shown to reduce cortisol and help relax the body without causing drowsiness. Combined with the fact that it helps elevate the mood, and it’s a one-two best herbs for anxiety. I find that it’s easiest to take as a tea.

    METHOD:

    Just add 1 tablespoon dried or 2 tablespoons fresh lemon balm to an 8 ounces water. Steep for 10 minutes then strains before drinking.

    4. Valerian

    Valerian has long been used to help induce sleep. But that’s not all it’s good for. It is also the best herbs for anxiety, lower blood pressure and decrease cortisol. Often likened to a natural form of Valium, valerian’s anxiety-fighting benefits stem from its ability to increase gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain.

    METHOD:

    Take it in capsule form or find a tea blend that contains valerian along with other soothing herbs.

    5. Ashwagandha

    When scrolling through the net, I found out that ashwagandha is part of the best herbs for anxiety and balance hormones naturally. Not only that, ashwagandha is also a potent adaptogen that can help us better handle stress. In a study conducted in the year 2009, has proven that ashwagandha is 50% more effective at treating anxiety than psychotherapy or a placebo. It's always in a capsule form, You can get it at most health food stores or online.
