    Toffee Crumble (now known as Toffee Choc Nibbles… or you may know it as Chocolate Nibbles – so many names!) – delicious toffee, biscuit, nut, and chocolate crumbly bits.

    It’s one of those sweets where the look of the sweet really doesn’t do the taste justice! It might look a bit like rabbit food – but it certainly doesn’t taste like it. Mind you, I’ve never eaten rabbit food so I wouldn’t know for sure – but if rabbit food tastes like Toffee Crumble then I definitely want to come back as a rabbit in my future life!

    Just begin with crackers, whether unsalted saltines or using your personal favorite, graham crackers.

    • 1 box of unsalted saltines or graham crackers
    • 2 sticks of butter (You can use unsalted)
    • Half a cup of granulated sugar

    Recipe Instructions:

    Step 1:

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.

    Step 2:

    Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil (be sure to use a half-size baking sheet, approx. 13x18 inches that have a lip/edge). Lightly grease with butter or a small amount of vegetable oil.

    Step 3:

    Lay out your crackers on the baking sheet in tight rows, ensuring to cover the entire sheet.

    Step 4:

    In a medium pot, heat the sugar and butter on medium heat until fully melted and it comes to a boil. Once you see the mixture boiling, remove it from the heat.

    Step 5:

    Pour the boiling butter/sugar mixture over the crackers. Carefully spread the mixture over each cracker evenly.

    Step 6:

    Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the crackers are a medium golden brown.

    Step 7:

    The crackers will likely shift around due to the candy bubbling in the oven. Once removed from the oven, take a knife or fork to gently get the crackers back in line. The toffee will begin to harden up, so be sure to do this quickly!

    Step 8:

    Allow to fully cool

    Step 9:

    Once fully cooled and hardened, break the toffee into pieces. Place in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin, or pulse a couple of times in a food processor.
