Commonly that we know are haircut, waxing, threading, makeup, etc. If I choose skincare, then what would possibly be the ways of doing it? Well, the internet gives you enormous ways to take proper care of your skin. And same is with the other techniques.

    Especially speaking about girls and women, they are a bit concerned about their body hair. So eventually removing the hairs sounds fit for them. Now, there are many ways to do it, considering the choice of the person what he will prefer the most. Laser hair removal is one of the hair removal treatments. Well, what is Laser hair removal?

    Laser hair removal is a process by which hairs are removed from the skin via a beam of light that destroys the hair follicles and removes it from the particular area. Laser hair removal treatment is done in many parts of the body – hands, legs, armpits, bikini line. Before becoming economically available, it was first experimented in 1995 and 1996. It is a time saving and painless method for the removal of hair also it is ultimately profitable. All the other methods are temporary but laser treatment is permanent.

    Things to know before going for the treatment

    • Avoid all the methods like tweezing, waxing, threading for at least a month. Shaving can be done.
    • Do not eat/drink any alcoholic beverages for 24 hours
    • Do not use any products like spray tanners prior 2 weeks as it can cause you injuries during the treatment.
    • Do not come in direct contact with sunlight for 3 days before and after the treatment.
    • Do not put any makeup/ lotion/ perfume/ deodorant on the day of treatment.
    • Shave the particular area 24 hours before the treatment.

    • Apply ice, cold water or aloe vera gel on treated area for 3 days at least to avoid pain or irritation
    • Wear loose clothes for 48 hours after the treatment
    • For 48 hours keep the treated area dry and clean
    • Drink plenty of water
    • Use SPF50 sunscreen for 2 weeks at least
    • Exfoliate the area for hair shedding

    Reactions / side effects after the Treatment

    • Excess pain
    • Redness of the skin because of blood flow
    • Swelling due to fluid reservation
    • Blisters
    • Marks or bruise on the skin in the shape of the crystal
    • Wrinkles on the skin

    More unpleasant reactions that happens between 4 to 12 hours after the treatment and you need to see a doctor

    • Certain areas of the skin may cause oedema.
    • The skin will not tear when rubbed because it will be fragile and sensitive
    • There can be an epidermal erosion (loss of some skin surface)
    • Hyper or hypopigmentation
    • Elongated itching of the skin
