    • Streptococcus pneumoniae
    • Diphtheria 

    Fungal Infection That Tends to Cause Itchy Throat is Candida Infection  

    4. Dehydration

    Dehydration occurs when the body loses more water than it requires. It’s normal during warm weather, following exercise, or through illness.

    Dehydration can cause a dry mouth, a temporary state in which the throat and mouth do not have sufficient saliva. This might lead to an itchy sensation in the throat.

    5. Acid reflux

    Also called heartburn, some individuals with chronic acid reflux encounter throat issues. Acid reflux occurs when stomach acid backs up from the gut into the food pipe.
