    Place in the freezer for 1 hour or until eggs are firm.

    Step 8:

    Melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave by heating for 30 seconds then stirring and repeating the process until it is melted and smooth.

    Step 9:

    Using a fork, dip the egg into the chocolate and flip it to cover it completely.

    Step 10:

    Tap the fork on the edge of the bowl or place them on a rack to remove the extra chocolate.

    Step 11:

    Place back on parchment paper

    Step 12:

    Refrigerate until the chocolate has set.

    Step 13:

    Drizzle chocolate syrup onto each egg if you desired.
