The wrong cleanser can leave your little one’s face feeling irritated, so make sure you choose wisely by checking out these baby face cleanser reviews before making your choice.

From gentle, tear-free formulas to soothing ingredients like lavender and jojoba oil, these baby face cleansers will help your bundle of joy has the cleanest, softest skin around!

Choosing A Gentle, Non-Irritating Face Wash For Babies

Babies' skin is far more delicate than that of adults. Even mild cleansers can lead to irritation, so you want to choose a product that's as gentle as possible.

My favorite facial cleanser for babies and adults alike is RDL Baby Face Cleanser.

It contains all-natural ingredients like aloe vera, cocoa butter, calendula extract, and papaya extract.

Regular use will brighten your baby's complexion and keep his or her skin clear and healthy.

The best part is that it's made from natural ingredients so there are no nasty chemicals in your child's skincare products at all.

Plus, unlike many other faces washes on the market today, RDL Baby Face Cleanser doesn't contain any alcohol which means it won't dry out your baby's skin or cause breakouts.

If your little one has sensitive skin then click here to check out RDL Baby Face Cleanser before ordering anything else for them.

I know I always prefer using natural ingredients on my little ones because they're less likely to cause allergic reactions which is why I trust RDL above any other brand.

Some Ingredients You Want To Avoid In A Baby Facial Cleanser

Many face cleansers are made with harsh chemicals, but not all are. The reason you want to avoid these chemicals in your baby's facial cleanser is that they can be quite damaging to their skin, which is far more delicate than adult skin.

It may take a little bit of extra time to find a good baby facial cleanser, but it will be worth it for your little one's health and complexion.

Here are some ingredients you should watch out for when looking for a baby facial cleanser:

    • Aloe extract
    • Ammonium lauryl sulfate
    • Chamomile extract
    • Cocamide DEA
    • Colorants (FD&C blue no. 1 aluminum lake, FD&C yellow no. 5 aluminum lake)
    • Glycol distearate
    • Lanolin alcohols
    • Methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone;
    • Mineral oil; parabens (butylparaben, ethylparaben, methylparaben)
    • Propylene glycol dibenzoate/dicaprylate/dicaprate
    • Quaternium-15.

This list contains some of the most common harmful ingredients found in face washes for babies and adults alike.

If you see any of these ingredients on a face wash label, look for another product instead.

You'll have better luck finding a safe product if you buy from reputable brands like RDL Skin Care.

They won't use those potentially dangerous ingredients listed above because they don't need to.

    1. Parabens

Parabens are commonly used preservatives, added to most commercial face toners and cleansers in concentrations from 0.01% to 1.0%.

There is some controversy over whether these preservatives may have adverse health effects, but be sure you’re looking for paraben-free products when choosing a baby face cleanser for your little one.

The RDL Baby Face Cleanser contains no parabens or other harsh chemicals and can be safely used on babies with sensitive skin.

If you don’t want to spend money on separate face wash and face toner, consider a product like RDL’s Face Wash & Toner Combo Pack which includes both products at an affordable price.

    2. Phthalates

Since your infant is especially susceptible to allergens and toxins, it’s a good idea to choose a baby face cleanser that doesn’t contain phthalates.

Phthalates are chemicals that make plastics more flexible—and they can also be found in many skin care products.

Avoid products with ingredients ending in phthalate, like dibutyl phthalate (DBP) or diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP).

Products like lotions and moisturizers tend to have higher levels of these ingredients than cleansers, so focus on cleaning your baby's face before applying any lotion or moisturizer.

A baby face cleanser with no phthalates will ensure you're keeping harmful chemicals away from your little one.

The first few months of life can be tough for newborns – their immune systems aren’t yet fully developed, which means they’re even more vulnerable to allergies and irritants than adults.

While you might think all skin care products are safe for babies because they don’t use them often enough to cause damage, you could not be further from the truth!

To help protect against allergic reactions, RDL Baby Face Cleanser contains no parabens or fragrances – two common allergy triggers – making it perfect for use by infants under six months old.

    3. Look for Hyaluronic Acid

Since it’s a natural compound and non-toxic, you can feel safe using hyaluronic acid on your little one.

It can also bind with water up to 1,000 times its own weight, meaning that it has multiple uses aside from cleansing.

One of these is as an effective moisturizer for dry skin; dermatologists often prescribe creams containing hyaluronic acid for atopic dermatitis (AD), or eczema, patients whose skin tends to be especially dry.

    4. Make sure it's pH balanced, especially if You have sensitive skin

Babies have sensitive skin, so you should be especially careful about what you use to clean their faces.

Make sure your baby face cleanser has a pH balance similar to that of human skin (about 5.5) since babies’ bodies are more susceptible to damage from harsh chemicals or products that are too alkaline or acidic than adult bodies.

If your baby has a reaction or gets itchy skin after using a product, stop using it right away and try another brand. Every baby is different, and what works for one may not work for another.

It can take some trial and error to find out which will be best for your little one. Your pediatrician will also be able to recommend products that are safe for your baby.

    5. Consider your budget

If you're looking for a more upscale brand, MeeMee makes a splash with their RDL Baby Face cleanser, which offers natural and organic ingredients at an affordable price.

    The bottom line

When looking for a baby face cleanser, look for products containing hyaluronic acid—it’s an ingredient that you can trust.

RDL Baby Face Cleanser contains hyaluronic acid, so rest assured that it will cleanse your baby’s face without irritating his or her sensitive skin.

When it comes to baby face cleansing products, safety is key. Avoiding those toxic chemicals listed above is just one way to make sure your child has healthy skin as he or she grows up.
