There are many herbal mixtures in Nigeria, commercially produced and claim to cure many diseases, but does the popular Dr. Iguedo’s Goko Cleanser cure STD? Many Nigerians will love to get an answer to this question, in fact, most of them will hope the answer comes in the positive due to the carelessness of many in engaging in sexual intercourse without protection.

    Quick Facts About Goko Cleanser

The use of herbal medication to treat ailments have been known to help limit the congestion in hospitals by taking care of some minor health problems. However, their efficacy is dubious, in some cases, as they have not been clinically tested for their safety and effectiveness in treating the ailments they claim to treat. While some herbs treat more than one illness or symptom, there are those who claim to combine the efficacy of different herbs to cure more than 50 illnesses.

Although, plants are rich in phytochemicals, including saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids, and many more, these compounds can have detrimental effects on the body when consumed in excess. With most of these herbal mixtures there is no unit of measurement to determine the amount to be consumed daily. There is also the issue of interaction between some biochemicals contained in these herbal mixtures.

In other words, you can say its a herb for hormonal imbalance. It is also said to be an effective medication against bacterial infections and stomach cancer.

In almost every state of Nigeria the presence of Dr Iguedo’s Goko Cleanser is known, and many have purchased it, hoping this miracle herbal mixture will help them put an end to their health and fertility problems. However, very little have been gotten as feedback from them.

    Ingredients of Goko Cleanser

You might be wondering what herbs were combined to make the miracle herbal mixture that cures so many diseases. Can these ingredients make Goko cleanser cure STDs and hypertension, even some cancers?

It will interest you to know that the contents of this herbal mixture are herbs and roots that you are familiar with, some of us even have them all in our backyards. Is it then possible that we can get all the cure Goko Cleanser provides with the same herbs? Let us see.

    1. Bitter leaf (Vernonia amygdalina)

The first ingredient in Goko Cleanser is Bitter leaf, popularly used in Africa to treat malaria, stomach upset, and intestinal parasite issues. It is also used to manage blood sugar level, making it effective for treating diabetes.

However, there are no evidences that point to the use of bitter leaf to cure bacterial, fungal, or viral infections. In other words, bitter leaf does not posses antibacterial, antifungal, or antiviral properties, and can therefore, not cure STDs.

    1. Garlic

Garlic is best known by its characteristic smell. It is a commonly used root bulb in herbs. Some of its benefits which influence its use for medicinal purpose include to improve heart health, as an antioxidant, and treatment of cold and flu symptoms. However, no evidence of its efficacy against STDs.

    1. Sugar cane

Not a very common ingredient in herbs, one might think its presence in the list of ingredients for Goko Cleanser is to counter the bitterness of bitter leaf. However, this ingredient is rich in vitamins and minerals and can effectively act as an antioxidant.

    1. Pigeon pea

Pigeon pea is rich in proteins, contains numerous vitamins and minerals that are available in more quantities than the recommended daily dosages. This helps this ingredient to be a good nutritional ingredient.

However, there is little research on its medicinal properties.

    1. Ginger

Ginger is a known root that has many health benefits. It helps to control nausea, reduce weight, improve digestion, treat cold and flu symptoms, among others. It is a proven antioxidant with extensive research on this property.

From the individual ingredients, there is none of them that has a clear antibacterial, antifungal or antiviral property. This partially answers the question does Goko Cleanser Cure STD?

    Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD)

Sexually transmitted diseases, STD, are diseases that are transferred from person to person through sexual intercourse, either through vaginal, anal, or oral sex. It is a common problem in the world, among people who engage in sexual relations without protection.

The common STDs include; Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, syphilis, Herpes, HPV, Pubic Lice, Trichomoniasis, MGen STD, and HIV. These infections are usually caused by bacteria, fungi, virus, or protozoa.

Therefore, to treat them, the medication has to be effective against the causative agent.

    Does Goko Cleanser Cure STD?

Considering the ingredients combined to make Goko Cleanser, it is safe to say that it works excellently as a cleanser that is called due to the high level of antioxidants present in each of its ingredients. It may also be effective in helping to curb hunger and restrict diet, consequently making it a good option for treating obesity, as proven by this research.

However, as for its use to treat STD, it is clinically unproven and from the list of ingredients, it is doubtful that it is capable of doing such since its ingredients do not have antipathogenic properties needed to treat STDs.

The interaction between the different components of the ingredients are unknown, as they may produce compounds that may or may not be effective against the diseases they individually treat.

    Conclusion

Herbal medication is an aspect of alternative medicine that is yet to be fully harnessed. However, there is need for detailed and extensive scientific research to back the authenticity of the various claims of many herbalists as to the efficacy of their herbal mixtures.

Goko cleanser is an herbal mixture that claims to treat and cure more than 40 diseases, including cancer, without any clinical or scientific backing. This claim is a red flag to its authenticity, and calls its brand to disrepute.

However, the answer to the question, “does goko Cleanser cure STD?” is No, it does not.
