Method
- Wash and grate your chili pepper
- Add the pepper to your pot containing appropriate amount of water. Add locust beans, onions, ginger, crayfish, potash, and seasoning to your water too.
- Set your pot on heat and partially cover it. Let the water boil.
- If your karkashi leaves are fresh, add them to your steaming pot and stir continuously till it thickens. However, if they are dry, turn off the heat and add the dry leaves or powder, and stir continuously.
- When the soup has a consistent thickness, your karkashi soup is ready for consumption.
